Definition of a business plan

Prior to thinking about the financing issue, one should have all the parameters that will allow assessing the needs of the project and the receipts it will generate. To this end one should develop and clarify the initial idea, find out about the context in which the enterprise will operate, assess the commercial potential, etc. It is the role of the business plan. To elaborate the business plan, the entrepreneur will have to review and describe objectively and accurately as possible all the aspects of the contemplated activity: proposed products/services, market characteristics (customers, competitors, economic context), marketing, production and distribution methods, research and development, financing, organisation, suppliers, necessary work force, expertise brought by the various administrators. The more accurate and documented the business plan, the more confidence it will inspire to the potential investors.
